In household 13, the enumerator wrote the surname as 'Oxtoby', a suggested alternative surname is 'Oxterby'. The person suggesting the alternative surname provided this comment: '1881 Census shows Mareyann OXTERBY in Scott, Ontario North,Dist 133 SubDist D Div 2 Page 38 Family 172.'.

In household 15, the enumerator wrote the surname as 'Oxtby', a suggested alternative surname is 'Oxterby'. The person suggesting the alternative surname provided this comment: '1881 census shows William OXTERBY & family, in Scott,Ontario North,133 SubDist D Div 2 Page 37 Family 171.
