Field Correction Notes on this page
Field correction notes are suggested changes offered by a
proofreader or user, they should not be considered authoritative. If
the transcriber agrees with the suggestion they will change the line.
Notes for changes that have been made are removed periodically. The
presence of an uncorrected note is an extra prompt to the user to
consult the image. It is always good practice to confirm the accuracy
of the transcription by consulting the image.

On line 13,
the value for the givens
field is "Gusthrull I",
the suggested correction is "Gurthrud I". Submitted by Margaret Cox.
|
This correction was evaluated by Jean Lampi:
I have checked the image of the original form and decided to make a change other than what the correction suggested.
This comment was added: Looking carefully I think there is a dot for an i in his name......I think it's reading Gusthried but comparing his r's and s' I do still think this is an 's' in the name. He's probably Gus! :)

On line 13,
the value for the givens
field is "Gusthried I",
the suggested correction is "Gurthrud I".
The following comment was attached: Suggest given is "Gurthrud" as it is spelt on previous pages by this enumerator
|
This correction was evaluated by Jean Lampi:
I have checked the image of the original form and am very sure that the suggested correction does not reflect the original.
This comment was added: I compare all his other 'r's in names on this page and don't see any that resemble this name. I think it's an 's' although it's not crystal clear. I'll leave it for now.
