This correction was evaluated by Mark Gallop: I have checked the image of the original form and the correct value is debatable but I think the transcribed value is more likely to be correct.

On line 36, the value for the surname field is "McAlstocher?", the suggested correction is "McAtocher?". Submitted by Aileen Sloane. The following comment was attached: As enumerator placed umlaut over the first letter it indicates a modified A vowel. No l. 1881 Census has Henry McAdocker in Guelph, different wife's name, but that's not unusual. So far the only one who comes close.
