In household 40, the enumerator wrote the surname as 'Westcoatt', a suggested alternative surname is 'Westcott'. The person suggesting the alternative surname provided this comment: '1881 Census Stephen, Huron South, Dist 173 SubDist A Div 1 Page 8 Family 33 shows correct spelling as WESTCOTT.'.

On line 31, the value for the givens field is "Christina", the suggested correction is "Christena". Submitted by Aileen Sloane. The following comment was attached: Only 1 "i" rntered. The letter tucked onto the "n" is an "e".
This correction was evaluated by Mark Gallop: I have checked the image of the original form and the correct value is debatable but I think the transcribed value is more likely to be correct.
