Surname Notes On This Page

In household 8, the enumerator wrote the surname as 'Schriber', a suggested alternative surname is 'Schriber/Schruber'. The person suggesting the alternative surname provided this comment: 'The 1881 census reads "Schruber" for this family>Usually Schriber is spelled either as "Scriber or Scheiber", I know not which is correct<'.
